CCA's Graduation

CCA has several strategy options to support the transition to post-secondary education that include college counseling and guidance that is supplemented by college visitation trips during the year and on school vacations.  All students must take the PSAE and the ACT examinations and be accepted into at least two postsecondary institutions to fulfill graduation requirements.  Eligible students may also participate in CSW’s Project Upward Bound program.

Students are assisted with career selection through opportunities to engage in real-life work experiences, field trips to various industries and employer days.  Classes are provided to increase the students’ ability to seek, obtain and maintain a job and to learn the values and expectations associated with working such as budgeting, climbing career ladders, entering into mentoring relationships with adults, goal setting, interviewing, and gaining work related skills.  Through the CSW partnership, certification is provided in Food Service Management in cooperation with the Illinois Restaurant Association
